The Rotary Club of San Mateo extends a fond farewell (aka "The Debunking") to President Rod as he concludes his time at the Club's helm and a warm welcome to President Dick as he begins his reign with the gavel!

A Memorable Transfer of Power
On June 23rd the Rotary Club of San Mateo summarily removed President Rod from his presidency by declaring him guilty of being long-winded, badgering club members, and interfering with post-prandial siestas!
Outgoing President Rod donned an orange jumpsuit - a perfect match for the orange shirt he's been wearing on Thursdays! Incoming President Dick was appropriately dignified in a judicial robe as he presided over the Debunking and prepared for a year of wielding the Club Gavel.
Thanks to the San Mateo Rotary Players for their superb dramatic skills, to the Club Members for heartily supporting the guilty verdict, and to President Rod for being such a good sport! The Club sent Rod off to his new role as Past President with a gift card for The Village Pub, congratulations on a job well done, and a standing ovation!

Incoming District 5150 Governor Gary Chow extended his well-wishes to President Rod, President Dick, and all San Mateo Rotarians.
