It takes the help of many Rotarians to stage our weekly Rotary meetings. The next time you're at Poplar Creek, give them a shout-out for all their assistance! Always upbeat, Chuck is the first person to greet arriving Rotarians. He presides over all cash payments with a grin & a friendly "Hello!" Chuck served for many years as our Club's Treasurer so he's a pro with the world of Rotary high finance!
Bill Walters is quick on the draw with the credit card machine! He is the epitome of calm and never gets rattled as Rotarians file through the line, presenting their credit or debit cards to pay for lunch. Bill also serves as our current Club Treasurer.
Past President Sue is a weekly presence at the Welcome Table, sometimes helping with the credit card machines & sometimes with attendance. She knows everyone's name and always graciously greets members & guests with a heartfelt Welcome to Rotary smile.
Dave Bennett keeps himself busy, between lunch fees & attendance accounting. He can be counted on to greet each arrival with a hearty "Hello!" and will often engage in animated exchanges with fellow Rotarians as they pay for lunch. Dave also leads our Club's COG group & does a terrific job orienting new members.
Perpetually cheerful, Bernie Mellott seems to be finding retirement bliss at the Welcome Table as she greets arriving Rotarians with warmth and great good humor. It's hard not to be in a good mood after chatting with Bernie!
Past President Bruce Bean is the intrepid IT force at almost every Rotary meeting. He makes sure the computers are working & Zoom is functional - a tall order, but nothing ever fazes him! Bruce is a pillar of calm amid unexpected IT events! What would we do without him?
