Just as the Webb Telescope this week revealed a stunning photo of the origin of a star, President Dick's tenure as Rotary Club of San Mateo President dawned following his first official meeting at Poplar Creek. President Dick wielded the gavel with aplomb and shared plans for the year ahead. Bet you didn't know that DDF stands for Drinks, Delectables, and Fun. Should be a great year!

It was terrific to walk into Poplar Creek and see Chuck Osborn back at his station at the Welcome Table for his first in-person meeting in quite a while. Based on the stack of cash in front of him, Chuck stayed busy collecting & counting lunch fees from one & all!
Brian Sullivan welcomed President Dick to his new duties by stepping forward to become the first member of this year's President's Club in honor of his daughter who just won a major award for professional excellence. Following Brian's example, Barb, Joan, Dennis, Tom D. and Chris all threw their hats into the President's Club ring, too!

Rotary International President Jennifer Jones asked Australian Indigenous artist Riki Salam to design this year's logo to represent the theme of Imagine Rotary. The logo incorporates key elements of Rotary while honoring Indigenous culture.

The dots represent people, one for each of RI's seven areas of focus
The circle & dots together become a navigation star, which signifies Rotary's guiding light
The solid line underneath is a digging stick - an Indigenous symbol for hard work meant to signify Rotarians as People of Action.
