San Mateo Rotarians gathered on July 11th to enjoy a great BBQ lunch and to help President John launch his term as Club President. Thanks to Shawn DeLuna and the BBQ Committee, there was food galore for one & all. Everyone definitely needed a siesta following such a delicious meal! The weather cooperated, too! Oscar forwarded this great picture from San Mateo Rotarian Emeritus Dick Nelson and Suzi who recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! Dick and Suzi now live in Ohio near their daughter, Winnie. Dick sends his best wishes to President John for a great 23-24 Rotary year!
President John was feted by family, friends, and fellow Rotarians on July 11th at Chalmers Grove in Central Park. President John's year is definitely well-launched! Don't forget to refer to him as "President John" when you see him at Tuesday meetings, Rotary events, and all year long!
