Thanks to the hospitality of Dick and Shawn DeLuna, the week kicked off with a bang on Sunday as they hosted this year's Scholarship Club Celebration. Dick has amassed an incredible collection of classic cars and auto-memorabilia in his "warehouse" - really not to be missed! Shawn again showcased his culinary talents and produced a succulent tri-tip paired with an incredible caesar salad, other taste treats, and an enticing array of beverages for a warm afternoon repast.
The week moved on to Cinco de Mayo for our weekly meeting. Julieta and Omar festooned the room with decorative centerpieces & banners and Par-3 offered a Mexican-themed menu. We welcomed new members & enjoyed former State Senator Jerry Hill's "Behind-the-Scenes" Tour of the Legislative Scene in Sacramento. President Rod offered red roses to all the moms in the room. Definitely a festive Thursday mid-day meeting!
Remember that our Thursday meeting on May 12th will honor our Rotary Scholarship recipients. Be sure to attend to celebrate the accomplishments of this impressive group of young people!

President-Elect Dick gave Jonathan King his red badge. Jonathan recently became Vice President & Managing Officer of the Burlingame Intero Office! Congrats are in order!
Joan and Arlene enjoyed touring the well-equipped vintage trailer in Dick's collection, complete with gas range, sofa, and a plate of bacon & eggs! Looks as though they're enjoying those liquid libations!
Tony discovered a new friend amidst Dick's collection. Here's to the Michelin Man! Note the Mobil Gas Pegasus (a true collector's dream item) watching over one & all!
Martin, Vic & Gayle look ready for a ride in the vintage Yellowstone Park tourist bus. All aboard! Old Faithful here they come! Hope they'll catch a glimpse of Yogi Bear!
What would a warehouse be without an in-house bar? Kitty and Mike did a wonderful job of bartending, offering a variety of tempting beverages for all to enjoy.
