No Newscast, or Sunshine Report!
Though it was noted that we are thrilled to welcome Bob Binn back!
Rotarians with Guests
Karen Vandenberg hosted, Mike Cook!
A quick spelling bee revealed that Sue Manheimer still holds her championship spelling bee title by correctly spelling "leprechaun."
Mr. Bill Kenny announced the St. Patricks event: March 16 at the peninsula Italian Social Club!
Because it will be so fun and fellowshippy, there will be no meeting on March 15.
The main event was a wonderful program put on by the Program Committee — hosted by Dick Bennet. It involved a series of questions about club menmbers and challenged us to link the "identified activity " with the club member. It was tremendous fun and the Questions and Answers are attached! A huge shoutout to Anne LeClair for her critical role in putting together this "survey"!!!
The Club also paid a warm tribute to Jeff Lowenstein (shown in file photo in his usual position: at the center of things) for his incredible contributions to the club. His work has moved him out of the area, but he remarked that he is very sad to no longer be a part of this club. He noted that the was thrilled to be treasurer because he could see what came in and what came out to support the community. He will return when he can!!!
In addition, Past Presidents from the 21st Century were acknowledged:
Lynn Armenio
LarrynAtkinson
Don Shoecraft
Margaret Taylor
Shawn DeLuna
Peter Webb
Linda Asbury
Kitty Lopez
Tom Thompson
Mike Peterson
Sheila Canzian
Ed Phillips
Tony Villanueva
and of course our current President...Chris Eckert
And a special surprise...
Gerry Bundy gave a wonderful show and tell of his beautiful Bonsais--their characteristics, how to create and maintain them.
But wait...there's more...
Bill Kenney provided wonderful insight into the art and business of storage--including unusual items that have been stored--to the financial benefits to owning storage units. They're very profitable, particularly due to low maintenance and no real estate fees!
