Every year the Rotary Club of San Mateo provides multiple scholarships to college-bound students through the Scholarship Club.  This year we hope to raise $60,000 so be sure to visit the link below and give generously.   The suggested contribution is $500, but whatever you can donate will be welcomed.  Even more importantly, we're aiming for 100% participation, so be sure to donate.  Many thanks to Jeff Lowenstein, Jim Engel, Michelle Privitera, and their committee for leading the charge (yes, do use your charge card!) this year.  

 

Scholarship fund-raising will last for just four weeks and will conclude with an in-person celebration.  Stay tuned for details!  It will be fun!

 

 

Many thanks to Dave Bennett who organized and orchestrated a terrific Rotary Round Table on March 24th. San Mateo Rotarians sat with groups they don't usually eat lunch with and had a great time getting to know more about each other. Rotarians each had 4 minutes at their tables to share about themselves.  Everyone had such a great time learning about one another that when President Rod rang the bell to end the meeting, people stayed put at their tables to continue talking!  Mega-kudos to Dave for all he did to organize such a successful session!

Kristi Spence shared an inspirational poem by Amanda Gorman that was written for New Year's 2022, but also gives words of solace as the world experiences the War in Ukraine.
